Test batsman Fawad Alam likely to make a comeback against Sri Lanka inthe upcoming Test series, which will be played in Rawalpindi andKarachi respectively.According to sources, Fawad Alam’s decade-long Test cricket dough will be over this month as the domestic cricket ace is in line to be picked for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka.
Fawad, 34, has more than 12,000 first class runs at an average of 56.57. However, he last played a Test match for Pakistan in 2009 — the one of only three he has played for the national team. Meanwhile, according to cricvision.pk sourse,national selection committee also consider pace bowler Tabish Khan for the upcoming
two-Test series against Sri Lanka.
It is pertinent to mention here that Tabish Khan, who plays for Sindh in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2019, has taken 25 wickets in nine matches at an average of 40.
The 34-year-old has never played for Pakistan before, but has claimed 568 wickets in 127 first-class matches at an average of 23.90.
It is worth mentioning here that Sri Lanka to tour Pakistan after 10years for Test cricket. The two Tests will be held in Rawalpindi fromDecember 11 to 15 and Karachi from December 19 to 23.
